LOCATION: The village of Vezenkovo is located in South-East Bulgaria and it is part of Soungourlare Municipality, Bourgas District. Soungourlare lies in the beautiful valley of the same name. The relief is mountainous, hilly and plain. The Mochuritsa and the Luda Kamchiya river flow past Soungourlare. A dam lake, 18 km away from Soungourlare, was built on the Luda Kamchiya, so the area offers fishing opportunities. The town has rich traditions in the wine and brandy production. The vine-growing and wine-production are the main occupation of the inhabitants. At the end of the XIX-th century, the Hristovi brothers, born in Soungourlare, brought fame to Bulgaria when they won a gold medal in a fair in Anvers, Belgium for their excellent wine. Nowadays, their house, a restored Revival one, is a Vine and Wine Museum and there are exhibits, dating back to the nineteenth century and illustrating the traditional occupation of the local population. In recent years successful rural tourism has been developed in Vezenkovo and neighbouring villages. The area is rich in nature beauties and conservation zones.
