The small village of Sabrano is situated in Southeast Bulgaria in the municipality of Nova Zagora – Sliven District. It has 373 inhabitants and is the only village in the area with a church and a kindergarten. This cozy village is located only 13 km. away from the town of Nova Zagora, 49 km. from the town of Sliven and 156 km. from the seashore and the international airport in Bourgas. The Municipality of Nova Zagora is a part of the Upper Thracian Valley. It is located between the big regional centers of Stara Zagora, Slievn and Yambol. Its territory covers the Novozagorsko pole The Sveti Ikiyski vuzvishenia (St Ilia Hills) and part of the Sredna Gora Mountain slopes. Major water resources are the Toundzha River, the Blatnitsa River and the Sazliyka River. Upon the Toundzha River is biult the Zhrabchevo Dam Lake. There is a mineral spring near the village of Korten.The major part of natural sights and cultural monuments are located in the northern part of the municipality – such are the stone formations Orlov Kamuk (Eagle's Stone), the beautiful branches of the Toundzha River, and the remains from the Roma fortress near Zhrebchevo Dam Lake. The forests cover around 30 % of the territory of the municipality – there are over 20 types of desiduous trees. The animal world in the region is also quiet divers – there are between 120 and 140 different vertebrate species. Two termal springs of water temperature from 20° to 65°C have been discovered. There are wonderful opportunities for holiday, cultural, health and ecotourism.
