The village of Orizari is located in South-East Bulgaria. It comprises a part of Tvarditsa Municipality – Sliven District. The area size of the village is 23sq.m. According to latest estimates, the number of the inhabitants in Orizari is 598. The hight above sea level of the area varies between 200 and 300m.The distance from the village to the town of Tvarditsa is just 8km. The distance to the city of Sliven is 35km; and to the capital city of Sofia - 215km.Tvarditsa municipality is situated on an area of 442.5 sq. km in the westernmost part of the District of Sliven. It encompasses the southern slopes of the Elena-Tvarditsa Part of the Balkan, the hills of Mezhdenik (in the Sredna Gora Mountain), a part of the valley of the Tounja River and a part of the Zhrebchevo Dam. The municipality's central part is occupied by the Tvarditsa and Shivachevo Hollow Field. It borders the following municipalities: Sliven to the east, Nova Zagora to the south, Gourkovo to the west, and Elena to the north. The geographical location of the Tvarditsa municipality together with the sub-Balkan transport corridor - a railway and a highway Sofia – Karlovo – Bourgas, which passes through the municipality, favors the development of the transport and economic connections not only with the neighboring municipalities, but also with the districts all over Bulgaria. The municipal territory has good environmental characteristic, favorable soil, micro climatic and sanitary-hygienic conditions. There is a significant potential for the development of tourism as structure forming branch. The favorable location of the town of Tvarditsa, beautiful nature, and hospitality of the people determines the growing interest in the development of mountain, holiday, hunting, cultural and ski tourism. Eco-tourism development is a niche in that field. A project for the development of Bulgarian eco-tourism has been drafted. Infrastructure has been built and accommodation is available in different establishments.A towing lift, 667 m. long and with 400 people/hour capacity and a 1,000 m long ski slope are built under Choumerna peak (1536 m.).
