Village of Izgrev is located in South-East Bulgaria. It is part of Sliven Municipality, Sliven District. The population of the village of Izgrev is 119 inhabitants. The village of Izgrev is located in the popular Mountain Stara Planina - 45 km away from the city of Sliven and 20 km from Elena.The closest to Izgrev villages are: Bojevtsi and Boikovtsi.Sliven municipality is situated in the south-eastern region of Bulgaria and covers 1367 sq.km. It borders on Yambol municipality to the south, Bourgas district to the east, Kotel municipality to the north, Tvarditsa municipality to the west and on Nova Zagora municipality to the southwest. This interesting location has been estimated as favorable for the economy development of the municipality. It depends on the integration of Sliven municipality with the neighboring districts and municipalities for sharing resources and potentialities for development. Three state Cultural Institutes work in Sliven - a Drama Theatre, a Puppet Theatre and a National Museum of the textile industry. The Municipal professional cultural institutes are: The Historical Museum, The Art Gallery, Folk Song and Dance Ensemble, The Symphony Orchestra, the Universal scientific library and community centres, some of which have over a 100-years history.
