The village of Bogdanovo is situated only 46 km away from Sliven and only 10 km from Nova Zagora. The village is located in Sliven region, in Nova Zagora Municipality. The Sliven region encompasses 49 settlements – the towns of Sliven and Kermen and 47 villages. The administrative centre of Sliven municipality is the town of Sliven. The settlements included in its territory are: the town of Sliven, and the villages – Sotirya, Ichera, Gavrailovo, Binkos, Golyamo Chochoven, Malko Chochoven, Seliminovo, Strupets, Chintulovo, Zlati Voivoda, Staro selo, Kovachite, Rakovo, Samuilovo, Gergevets, Glufishevo, Mechkarevo, Panaretovtsi, Topolanche, Kaloyanovo, Krushare, Kamen, Chokoba, Byala, Vaglen, Gradsko, Novachevo, Zhelyu Voivoda, Stara reka, Bojevtsi, Sredorek, Rachenitsa, Zaichari, Izgrev, and the quarters - Kozin dol, Masarlii, Bilo. The relief in Sliven district is hilly and mountain on north and plain – on south. The town of Sliven is located at the foot of the south slopes of Slivenska Planina Mountain (1181 m.), where the east Stara Planina Mounatin begins. On south and southeast it is opened towards the Slivensko field. The town is located between 180 and 300 meters above the sea level. Through the lands of Sliven pass the rivers Asenovska, Selishtka and Novoselska. At the Valley of Asenovska River is built ‘Asenovets’ dam, which is the main water source for the town. The region of Sliven is also famous for its mineral springs. The water is of high quality, suitable for treatment of spine and bone problems, illnesses of the peripheral nervous system, the stomach, intestines, liver, etc. A great advantage of Sliven municipality is its various nature – the rock massif ‘Sinite Kamani’, the fresh and clean air, the abundance of waters, the mild climate, the mineral springs, the fertile hollows of Tundja and Slivensko field are just part from the municipality’s gifts that make the region a preferred place for living and running business by many native and foreign citizens.
