The village of Banya is situated only 35 km from the popular town of Sliven and 14 km from Nova Zagora. The hamlet is lying in Nova Zagora Municipality, in Sliven region. Sliven region is situated in the south-eastern part of Bulgaria and covers 1367 sq.km. It borders on Yambol municipality to the south, Bourgas district to the east, Kotel municipality to the north, Tvarditsa municipality to the west and on Nova Zagora municipality to the southwest. This interesting location has been estimated as favourable for the economy development of the municipality.
